Our participants are Biomedical Engineering (BME) and Technical Medicine (TM) third-year bachelor and master students educated at the University of Twente. The Biomedical Technology student is an engineer capable of designing new technological methods, products, and processes applicable in healthcare. The Technical Medicine student can design and develop new diagnostic and therapeutic methods using medical technology. Students from both studies are academically educated and have a great ability for problem-solving. Furthermore, both programs include education about human anatomy and physiology, and about the technologies involved in the medical world.
